Description
The AEFB is looking for information or capabilities described in detail below. This is a request for information only as defined in FAR 15.201(e). The government does not presently intend to award a contract, but wants to obtain capabilities information for planning purposes. This is a request for information only. Responses to this notice are not offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a binding contract. The mission of the AEF Battlelab is to rapidly identify innovative and superior ways to plan and employ AEF capabilities, organize and train forces for AEF operations, and influence AEF doctrine and tactics in order to meet current and emerging missions. There is no required format for the response. The AEF is looking for a small hand held computer for use by aircraft loadmasters, approximately 4? wide by 6? tall and 2? deep, able to be carried in a flight suite pocket. It must be rugged, able to with stand being dropped and stepped on. Touch screen operations and other ways of entering data, have a quick connection for connecting to a printer, variable intensity back lighting, back up battery of approximately 30 minute duration. Have a Windows compatible operating system, to allow for updating and loading software from PC. A data program that has the ability to give a running total of cargo and overall aircraft Center of Gravity (CG) and % of Mean Aeronautical Cord, (MAC), has pull down menus and allows for manual inputs. Pull down menus for completing blocks 2 through 8 of the DD Form 365-4 (transport side), and allows user to configure this pull downs for local aircraft configurations. Have integrated aircraft CG limitation, fuel tables, and wing fuel limitation tables. A work pad area that is capable of doing other computations, i.e.?. load shift formulas, CG formulas for vehicles and other cargo, area and PSI formulas. Ability to station load, compartment load and to load by pallet position cargo. Gives a visible display of the cargo floor and over lays cargo onto this view. Able to store and display digitized T.O.s and publications. Compatible with Computer Aided Loading Manifesting (CALM), Aircraft Load Planning Software (ALPS), Portable Flight Planning Software (PFPS), Falcon View, and L-band SATCOM programs. Able to interface with the Panasonic CF-25 and CF-27. Incorporates Parking and Rolling shoring, Roller load limit, projection, overhang, and ramp crest charts. Able to print a complete DD Form 365-4 (transport side) on 8 ? X 11 paper. A compact printer that is compatible with aircraft power, (28V DC 10 amp, HBL7545C plug, desired), or120V AC 60 Hz, able to print 8 ? X 11 pages, uses no toner or ink cartridge. Fast and easy handheld connection to printer. Able to with stand aircraft in-flight vibrations and G forces.
