Description

This project consists of constructing 2 new native log bulkheads, a 17.3% low angle equipment ramp, a concrete slab of fuel containment facility with metal column/beam roof system and precast concrete median barrier units at the existing Whale Pass Log Transfer Facility on Prince of Whales Island. The project is located on the western side of Whale Passage on the eastern side of Prince of Whales Island, 66 kilometers north of Thorne Bay, Alaska. The project site is accessible by boat and seaplane from Wrangell and Ketchikan, Alaska. Estimated price range is $250,000 to $500,000. Contract time is 90 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. The solicitation will be posted to the Tongass National Forest Internet Homepage on or about July 9, 2001 for viewing and printing. Follow the link to Current Contract Information.
