Description

In response to Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (P.L. 93-112) the Department of the Interior (DOI), Accessible Technology Center (ATC), intends to contract with Cherry Engineering Support Services, Inc. for the following services: Provide support for operation of an accessible technology center for DOI employees with disabilities; provide support personnel to operate a technology center containing assistive technologies for people with sight, hearing, mobility and cognitive disabilities; provide on-going training for DOI staff on procedures to manage the center in support of employees with disabilities; assist DOI in the coordination of events highlighting accessibility for people with disabilities or the prevention of disabling conditions and assist in preparing materials for publicizing the events; support the integration, installation, and maintenance of the accessible technologies in the center and recommend technologies and accommodations for inclusion to the center. Services shall be provided through September 30, 2001. No request for quotation exists. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. A request for quotation will not be considered an affirmative response, however, if issuance of a request for quotation is determined appropriate, requesting firms will be included on the mailing list. To be considered, all responsible parties must submit faxed data to the Contracting Officer sufficient to determine capability to meet the requirement.
