Description

Work includes the posting and marking of National Forest property boundary and perpetuation and maintenance of existing property corners. A surveyor's report shall be prepared for each site or additive in the contract. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials(except Government-furnished materials), transportation, equipment, tools, operating supplies, and incidentals to complete the work. Government-furnished property includes aluminum monuments, Forest Service signs, sign posts and boundary marking paint. All work shall be performed by, or under the direct supervision of a person registered or licensed to practice surveying in the State of Alaska. Work consists of maintaining existing monuments with bearing trees and accessories, the brushing, blazing and posting of National Forest property boundary as follows: Site A: 1.13 miles and 20 monuments; Additive B: 3.46 miles and 5 monuments; Additive C: 2.43 miles and 13 monuments; and Additive D: 1.56 miles and 7 monuments. Site A is located on west side of Primrose Road, near the southwest corner of Kenai Lake, approximately 18 highway miles north of Seward, Alaska, and is accessible from the Primrose Campground Road. Additives B, C, and D are located in Summit Pass near lower Summit Lake, approximately 7 miles north of the Sterling Highway -- Seward Highway junction, and are accessible from the Seward Highway. Contract time is 150 calendar days. Estimated start work date is July 2001. Estimated price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. See Numbered Note 24.
