Description

B -- Technical Support Services for the Yucca Mountain Project, Mercury, Nevada. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) conducts geologic, geophysical, tectonic, and hydrologic studies as part of the Yucca Mountan Project Branch (YMPB). The study site, Yucca Mountan near Mercury, Nevada, has been selected as the site to be evaluated as the first underground repository of high-level radioactive waste. Technical support services are required to support technical, operational and interpretive support to YMPB by providing the necessary effort to collect, analyze, map, and interpret geologic, seimologic, and environmental data; implement and support quality-assurance requirements for technical and admnistrative operations; reduce, process, and enter technical data into Project Technical Data Base. Period of Performance is estimated to be October 1, 2001 through September 30, 2002 with four (4) one year options. Written requests for the RFP must be submitted either by U.S. mail, e-mail or fax at (303) 236-2710 and must contain the RFP number, and the Requester's Name, Address and Telephone Number. Telephone requests for the RFP will not be accepted. RFP 01CRSS0019 will close o/a August 1, 2001. The proposed contract is 100% set aside for SBA 8(a) certified businesses. Offers from concerns that are not certified as 8(a) by the Small Business Administration will not be considered. All responsible 8(a)'s may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the USGS.
