- Description
- NASA/MSFC plans to issue a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for RF Amplifier Model 250W1000, Electric Field Probe Kit Model FP2080, and Field Monitor Model FM5004. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). NASA/MSFC intends to purchase the items from Amplifier Research Corporation, Souderton, PA. The authority for other than full and open competition is pursuant to FAR 13.106. The MSFC Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) Test Facility requires an exact duplicate of these instruments to be backup line replaceable units (LRUs) in the test facility operations. The LRUs are required to be the exact fit, form, and function of existing test hardware to allow the LRUs to operate with the existing test system, including in-house EMI test software. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:30 p.m. local time on July 7, 2001. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
