Description
SUBJECT: REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. This announcement constitutes a formal Sources Sought Synopsis. Information obtained as a result of this synopsis is for planning purposes only. It does not constitute an Invitation for Sealed Bid or Request for Proposal (RFP), nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the United States Air Force. The 375 Contracting Squadron, Scott AFB IL, is seeking vendors who are interested in establishing a Nutritional Shake/Juice Bar at the Fitness Center on Scott AFB IL. Information related to this notice includes, but is not limited to, the following: The Scott AFB IL Morale, Welfare and Recreation Fund (MWRF) will provide space in the Fitness Center to accommodate the contractor to provide services during normal operating days/hours. Normal operating days/hours at the Fitness Center are 6:00 AM through 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Scott AFB IL will also furnish sufficient quantities of space, heat, water and electricity to satisfy the normal needs of the contractor for lighting, heating, drinking, sanitation and the operation of suitable support equipment. The contractor would be required to provide all labor, supplies, equipment and services necessary for the operation of a Nutritional Shake/Juice Bar in the Fitness Center. The contractor shall construct/provide cabinets, countertops, signs, bar stools and other supplies/equipment to include blenders, mixers, coolers, etc., necessary to operate the Nutritional Shake/Juice Bar. The contractor shall obtain at their expense all permits and give all necessary notices, pay all license fees and comply with applicable regulations. The contractor shall provide for sale to all customers such items as nutritional shakes, fruits, beverages, low fat snacks, protein bars, vitamins and vitamin supplements. In consideration of the establishment of a Nutritional Shake/Juice Bar, the contractor shall offer to the Government an identified percentage of gross sales. For planning purposes, the number of potential customers who utilize the Scott AFB Fitness Center is as follows: On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, 1200 potential customers per day. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, 950 potential customers per day. The projected period of performance is 04 Sep 01 through 30 Sep 05.
