Description

The Naval Oceanographic Office, Stennis Space Center, MS intends to solicit, on an other than full and open competitive basis, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, a fixed price-level of effort requirements type contract to United States Marine, Inc. The contractor shall provide maintenance, repair, and upgrade, as specified in the Statement of Work (SOW), to a fleet of government-owned Hydrographic Survey Launches (HSLs), each 34' long, stationed at (1) Boat Operations Branch, Gulfport, MS, (2) Stennis Space Center, MS, and at (3) Pensacola, FL. The scope of work requires a qualified boat yard, located within 60 miles of the Stennis Space Center or within 60 miles of the Gulfport Harbor, using in-house or sub-contracted personnel to make repairs to all systems of the boat as problems occur. The contractor shall also make minor improvements and modifications to the boats, as detailed by the NAVOCEANO representative, when determined necessary. The contractor shall send personnel to the various locations or make their facility available on an as needed basis. Tasks will require the services of personnel qualified to replace underhull transducers and perform services on diesel engines/generators, electrical system, propulsion system, steering system, refrigeration (A/C) system, bilge system, to include welders, machinists, fiberglass and canvas specialists, and painters. Contractor is to quote fixed hourly labor rates for specified services. Period of performance is to be from date of award through 30 Sep 2003.
