Description

17. This is a sources sought/market survey synopsis being conducted for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Hickam AFB HI and Wheeler AFB HI. The anticipated contract would be for two years, with three one-year options. Local exchange service providers certified by the Hawaii Public Utilities Commission are eligible to provide local commercial communications service for Hawaii AFB HI. Local communications service to be provided include approximately 34 commercial business lines, 21 analog trunks, 11 transport channels, 52 hot lines, several hundred circuit extensions, directory number and number portability, emergency 9-1-1 service, operator and directory assistance, local and Intra-LATA access, and interconnection with Inter-LATA exchange carrier. Under the current configuration services are terminated at an AT&T owned switch located in Building 1110. Although the base cable is government owned it is controlled by AT&T and for on base circuits/circuit extension all contractors will be required to coordinate with AT&T. There are also some of the circuits which are provided across a combination of government cable and contractor owned cable.
