4 ORDERS TOTALING 6 / 8030-01-367-7357 UI: RO SEALING COMPOUND, EXPANDED PTFE TAPE: DESCRIPTION In accordance with SAE specification AMS 3255 dated December 1995, an expanded fuel-, oil-, and water-resistant polytetrafluoroethylene tape with acrylic adhesive for gasketing and sealing aircraft access panels and other gasketing applications. Exception to specification: Change title of Table 3, page 5 to read: "TABLE 3 -- Continuous Non-Ribbed Sealing Tape, Sizes and Tolerances". Class 2: continuous, nonribbed Adhesive width: 25 mm Size: The product shall be furnished as a roll 1.62 inches wide and 100 feet long on a release paper backing and packaged in accordance with the supplier's normal commercial practice, provided that there will be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents so as to damage the container or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. The package shall be closed in a manner that will insure that the contents will not spill or leak from the container during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. Shelf life code: 6 (2 years) Maximum age on delivery: 4 months ITEM MARKING Each item shall be marked with the following: (1) lot or batch number (2) manufacturer's name and part number(s) (3) dates of manufacture and reinspection (4) instructions for use and storage (5) markings required by specification, if applicable PACKAGING INTERMEDIATE PACKAGING: Not more than 25 units packaged as specified above shall be further packaged in a close-fitting, corrugated fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight Classification (200 minimum burst). Closure of the boxes shall be in accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification. PACKAGING: Intermediate packaged boxes shall be packed in a close-fitting, corrugated fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight Classification (200 minimum burst). Closure of the boxes shall be in accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification. MARKING All unit, intermediate, transport packages and unit loads shall be marked for delivery to civilian activities in accordance with the FED-STD-123G, dated June 6, 1997, or marked for delivery to military activities in accordance with MIL-STD-129N, dated 15, May, 1997, as applicable.
