- Description
- This requirement will be negotiated solely with Raytheon Systems Company, Defense Systems Segment, 9000 South Rita Road, Building 9030, Tucson, Arizona 85747. The effort includes providing input to the Mission Response Ordnance (MRO) Payload Group by providing information concerning the current Tomahawk mechanical and electrical interfaces and methods of control in the following areas: (a) Tomahawk mechanical interfaces, (i) physical dimension, (ii) missile joint interfaces, (iii) missile loading environment (i.e. launch, transportation shock, and flight loads), and (iv) submarine and shipboard stowage handling interface; (b) Tactical Land Attack Missile-Delta (TLAM-D) system loading and control, (i) current control the dispense of the various BLU-97's, and (ii) current level of shock loading and missile sees during a dispense event; (c) Tomahawk electrical interfaces, (i) electrical power (i.e. voltage levels and current), (ii) grounding system, and (iii) electrical power system (i.e. battery system and AC generator, power distribution methods, timing issues); (d) Tomahawk Communication interfaces, (i) internal tomahawk data bus, (ii) communication protocols, (iii) voltage levels, (iv) data rates and (v) command structure; and (e) assess the impact that various MRO payload concepts will have on the Tomahawk missile system. The estimated period of performance is six (6) months. Interested parties other than Raytheon must be able to demonstrate in writing by 9 July 2001, their capability to provide the requested services.
