Description

The Department of State intends to enter into negotiations with Xerox Special Information Systems, 1218 South Fifth Avenue, Monrovia, California 91106 for on-site maintenance and repair support services to provide spare parts, software updates/modifications and maintenance for the ARCS/CARDS Automated Message Distribution Systems. These systems apply digital electronic and precision laser scanning and convert incoming data to print images; print and mark a specified number of copies; and distribute copies to pre-addressed bins and/or route them via RS-232-C communication data circuits to remote CARD sites for additional message analysis and dissemination. The resultant contract is projected to be for a one-year period (6-month base with 2 three-month option periods). All responsible sources shall respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability, including detailed technical information and other technical information literature demonstrating the ability to meet the above requirements. Price data, including GSA schedule, if applicable, should be included. The response must be sufficient to permit agency analysis to establish a bona fide capability to meet the requirement. No telephone requests will be honored. Failure to submit documentation will result in the Government proceeding with negotiations. See numbered Note 22.
