- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the ONLY solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation F09650-01-Q-0311 is a Request for Quote. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-24. NAICS Code:235610 Place of Performance/FOB: Robins AFB, GA. Period of Performance: Completion within three weeks from date of award.. CLIN 0001 ? One time contract for all parts, tools, material, labor and transportation for the inspections and repair of cladding, to include skylights, on the Mobile Tail Enclosures (MTE?s) located at Bldg. 125 and Bldg 54, in accordance with the attached statement of work. This is a NOT TO EXCEED (NTE) line item.All expenses must be accompanied by an invoice with receipts. This dollar amount placed on this line item may not be exceeded. If the contractor foresees this line item will be exceeded, the Contracting Officer MUST first being informed in order for the Contractor to receive proper authority.. STATEMENT OF WORK Mobile Tail Enclosure Cladding Repair C-5 Program Depot Maintenance Robins AFB GA Prepared By: WR-ALC/LAPLAF 1.0 Scope: The statement of work outlined herein is for the inspection and repair of cladding, to include skylights, on the Mobile Tail Enclosures (MTE?s) located at Building 125 and Building 54, Robins AFB. Weather seals and brushes shall be inspected and repaired on MTE?s at these locations. 2.0 Inspection of Cladding: The contractor shall perform inspection of all cladding surfaces and cladding material, including skylight panels, to determine condition and identify areas with loose/missing or damaged panels. Method of recording location of panels that require replacement or repair shall be established in order to track progress of repairs. 2.1 Inspection of Weather seals/brushes: The contractor shall perform inspection of all weather seals and brushes to determine condition and identify areas that are loose/missing or damaged. Method of recording location of seals that require replacement/repair shall be established in order to track progress of repairs. 3.0 Repair of Cladding: The contractor shall perform repair or replacement of damaged or missing cladding panels identified as part of performing 2.0. Replacement cladding panels shall be of comparable material with matching color/finish. Skylight panel material shall be of comparable material. Attachment of panels shall be performed to prevent damage from wind, expansion/contraction, and entry of precipitation. 3.1 Repair of Weather seals/brushes: The contractor shall perform repair or replacement of damaged or missing seals and brushes as identified as part of performing 2.1. Replacement seals shall be sized and fabricated of comparable material. All existing and replacement brush seals shall be attached using the method of through screws with fender washers. 4.0 Equipment: The contractor shall provide all equipment necessary to perform all inspections and repairs required. 4.2 Personnel: The contractor shall provide all personnel required to perform the inspection/repair on all MTE?s. The contractor shall select only qualified personnel for the skills involved with completion of the inspection/repairs. 4.3 Material: The contractor shall provide all materials and supplies required to complete inspection/repairs on all MTE?s. All materials used in the repair and replacement shall be comparable or better. Alternate materials and substitutions are authorized following approval by WR-ALC/LAPLAF. The contractor shall provide all documentation required to perform engineering review for disposition on alternate material requests. 5.0 Corrosion Control: The contractor is responsible for completion of corrosion control on all repairs. Corrosion protection shall be performed with finish systems similar to those used in original construction. 5.1 Record of Repairs: The contractor shall provide report of panels and seals that were replaced/repaired. Documentation of authorized alternate material substitutions shall be provided to include Part Number, Manufacturer name/address, color and pertinent specifications.
