Description

This project consists of replacing 5 bridges, 1 on Kosciusko Island, 1 on Prince of Wales Island, and 3 on Kupreanof Island, all in Southeast Alaska. New bridges will be modular type bridges, similar to those sold by Hamilton Construction Company or Big "R" Manufacturing and Distributing Company. Work includes survey; design; preparation of construction drawings and specifications; obtaining Title 16 concurrence from Alaska Department of Fish and Game; fabrication and furnishing of materials; transportation and erection of material; and all construction necessary to install permanent bridges. Estimated price range is $500,000 to $1,000,000. The contract time is 720 calendar days. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which will be considered. The solicitation will be posted to the Tongass National Forest Internet Homepage on or about August 7, 2001 for viewing and printing. Follow the link to Current Contract Information.
