Description

The Colville National Forest seeks proposals for reconstruction of existing forest roads at various sites on the Republic Ranger District. Work includes clearing, excavation, removing and installing culverts, developing riprap quarry, placing and compacting backfill, geotextile placement, stream bank armoring, and conserving and placing aggregate. Location of project is in the proximity of the Three Rivers Ranger District Office at 255 West llth, Kettle Falls, WA. 99141, located in the Colville National Forest, in Ferry County, Eastern Washington at three different sites: Barneby Road (Site CNF 14-08) from Kettle Falls, travel northwest approximately 3.5 miles on State Route 395 to the junction with State Route 20, then travel west on State Route 20, 11 miles to the junction with Forest Road 2020000, then travel southwest on Forest Road 2020000 6.3 miles to the junction with Forest Road 2014000, then travel 0.8 miles south on Forest Road 2014000 to the project site. S. Fork Sherman Creek Road (Sites CNF 20-26 and CNF 20-28) from Kettle Falls, travel northwest approximately 3.5 miles on State Route 395 to the junction with State Route 20, then travel west on State Route 20, 11 miles to the junction with Forest Road 2020000, then travel southwest on Forest Road 2020000 2.6 and 2.8 miles respectively to the project sites. The contract time is 78 calendar days estimated start date of September 1, 2001. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000. The proposed contract is set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns.
