Description

Furnish all labor, material, tools, equipment and supervision required to perform work to replace Air Handling Units (AHU) in Main Tower. Work includes base bid and alternates IAW drawings and specifications. Work will also include but not limited to: demolition, HVAC, Duct work, Electrical, some new construction, and some asbestos abatement. Phasing will be required on this project with parts of area occupied by hospital employees. This is an unrestricted procurement. This solicitation will be limited to the first 20 bidders. Bidders must meet the following minimum criteria to bid: Have at lease three years experience in general construction, have successfully completed at least one project similar in complexity or magnitude of this project within the last five years. Previous construction experience in a hospital is preferred. A charge of $150.00 is required for each bid package request. Payable by company or cashier check, or money order to: VAMC-Atlanta/(508), 1670 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30033. No personnal checks will be accepted. Deposits are refundable. All request for bid package must be in writing accompanied by deposit. No telephone request will be accepted. NAICS is 233320. Estimated construction cost is between $2,000,000 -- $5,000,000.
