Description

The proposed work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision,and incidentals necessary for the construction of converting existing aged oil fired forced draft burners to new propane (LPG) fired forced draft burners. This contract work is required for three (3) school buildings at Rocky Ridge School and four (4) school buildings at Lukachukai School on the Navajo Reservation in the State of Arizona. Potential bidders are encouraged to do site visits. Invitation for Bid Number N00-01-17, Bid Opening Date: August 9, 2001 at 2:00 P.M./Local Time at Place of Bid Opening. This project is Set-Aside for 51% Indian-owned and Controlled Concerns and is a Labor Surplus Area-Set Aside. The estimated price range for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. Section 7(B)of PL 93-638 (U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 require that preference opportunities in employment and training to be given to Indian/Alaska Native Individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native Economic Enterprises. Failure by the Contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior award and implement same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award for termination of the contract for default. '
