Description
The U. S. Army TACOM-ARDEC at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ is seeking 100% Small Business Set-Aside,(See Note 1), for the production of Wood Pallets for the 155mm, HE M795 projectiles. The wood pallets shall be produced to completely meet designated requirements. The contractor shall provide for all necessary labor, materials, supplies, services, facilities, and equipment to perform this requirement. The Government does not intend to sponsor or procure facilities for the manufacture of the M795 projectile wood pallets. The manufacture must have the capacity to meet the required delivery schedule of the first article test within three weeks of award. Production shall be completed within twenty- four weeks from contract award for the basic quantity of 4,934 units (12 of which constitute F. A.T.). These pallets shall be delivered to Chamberlain Mfg. Co. at Scranton, PA. Each Wooden Pallet assembly consists of two (2) wooden pallets held together by three metal straps. Each pallet is designed to hold eight (8) M795 artillery shells. Each group of eight (8) artillery shells sits atop one of the wooden pallets and is capped off by the other wooden pallet. The wooden pallets shall be made from deck board. This item requires a dip tank for application of wood preservatives.
