Description

The Navy requires Silver/Zinc battery cells and associated services, repair/spare parts, and related data. Delivery will be required approximately 10 months after award or option exercise, as applicable. There are two distinct battery types: The Deep Submergence Rescue Vehicle (DSRV) 1-2 emergency batteries IAW MIL SPEC DOD-B-24531 (SH), and NR1 submarine batteries IAW MIL SPEC DOD-B-24507B. The Navy will solicit for quantities to meet FY 2002 through 2004 requirements. Quantities required for the DSRV 1-2 emergency batteries are: FY 02 -- 8 each; and FY 04 -- 8 each. Quantities for the NR1 batteries are FY 02 -- 1 each; FY 03 -- 1 each; and FY 04 -- 1 each. The basic quantity contract will cover FY 02 requirements and there will be options for each of the two remaining FY requirements. The Government will make available assorted Government Furnished Property and Government Furnished Material as required for the performance of this effort. The applicable Standard Industrial Classification is 3692 and the size standard is 1000 employees. This procurement is a 100% Small Business set-aside.
