Description

Provide all necessary Architectural/Engineering services for Outpatient Dental/SPD at Veterans Affairs Hudson VAlley Healthcare System,Castle Point Campus, Castle Point, NY 12511. The scope of work includes but is note limited to: Preliminary surveys, drawings, specifications, cost, estimates, and site visits (during design and construction) necessary to relocate Dental Service and the SPD(Supply Process & Distribution) to a new location. (1) This project will require a survey of the existing facility giving consideration to the following: eight(8) new operatories, new dental laboratory, new dust collector/exhaust/hoods, new offices, new rooms for storage (stretchers, wheel chairs, dental equipment) new break room/conference room, new cabinets and other necessary requirements to develop a new state of the art dental suite. Also, requires a survey to combine each SPD currently located one at each campus (both Montrose & Cstle Point) into one SPD suite located at the Castle Point Campus and other necessary requirements and regulations/design criteria of a SPD suite. (2) This project also requires a survey giving consideration to the following: Items to be installed during constuction: New wall partitions, new exhaust and ventilation system including cooling and heating, new lighting fixtures, new doors, general construction to include decontamination/sterilization break, utility room, new bathroom including fixtures, equipment storage room, repair floors/new floor tiles, and upgrade electric service to include switches, light fixtures, receptacles, and other necessary equipments and requirements. (3) All work shall comply with VA design criteria, NFPA, electrical ashrae codes, etc... North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541310. This is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. Estimated construction cost is between $2,000,000 and $5,000,000. Firms must be located within a 50 mile radius of the VA Castle Point Campus. SF 254's and 255's are due in this office by COB 8/8/01. This is not a request for proposal. Award is subject to availability of funds.
