Description

This is a solicitation for COMMERCIAL ITEMS prepared in accordance with information in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice through FAC 97-22. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 561730, size standard of $5 Million dollars. This procurement is advertised as a small business set-aside. The work is to be performed at Devils Tower National Monument, Crook County, Devils Tower, Wyoming. The contractor shall perform the following work: (1) Tree Trimming in the campground area, trees will be marked, there are approximately 60-80 mature cottonwood trees, trees are 40-60 feet in height. The objective is to remove dead, dying, diseased, hazardous or objectionable and weak branches in a scientific manner and maintain tree-like form and (2) Removal of tree limbs and debris. There are two site visits offered and recommended: August 27, 2001 and August 28, 2001 at 9:00 a.m. mountain time at Devils Tower National Monument, Park's Maintenance Building, Devils Tower, Wyoming. Contact Robert King at 307 467-5283, extension 16 regarding the site visits. CLAUSES/PROVISIONS: FAR Clause 52.212-1-"Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items" is hereby included by reference. The following are addenda to Far Clause 52.212-1, paragraph(b) Submission of offerors shall also include: Response to Evaluation Criteria that are arranged in their order of importance. Technical and Past Performance, when combined are significantly more important than cost: A: Current Certification(s): Submit current certification(s) as Certified Arborist. B: Current ACRT Certification: Submit current certification for safety, appraisal, consulting, research and training incorporation. C: Past Performance: Provide a list of three recent similar requirements and include three references with contact names and phone numbers. D: Cost: Completed Cost proposal for all items identified for the performance of this work. FAR Clause 52.212-2 -"Evaluation-Commercial Items" applies to this solicitation.
