Description

The contractor shall provide personal and nonpersonal services for any health care specialty that may be required in a Radiology Department in accordance with established principles and ethics of the medical profession, the national standards established by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO), the professional standards at the medical treatment facility (MTF), and the American Board of applicable specialty. Known requirements are for Diagnostic Radiologists at the following eight Army MTFs: Ft Hood, TX; Ft Polk, LA; Ft Sill, OK; Ft Knox, KY; Ft Gordon, GA; Ft Jackson, SC; Ft Irwin, CA; and Redstone Arsenal, AL. Possible future specialties include but are not limited to Academic Radiologist, Medical Instrument Technician (Ultrasound), Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist, Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist, Therapeutic Radiologic Technologist (Dosimetrist), Nuclear Medicine Technician, Diagnostic Imaging Physicist, and Radiation Therapy Physicist. Awards will be worldwide Army Medical Command (MEDCOM) master indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contracts that may also be used by other government agencies. Performance start date is 1 Apr 02 through 30 Sep 02 with four 1-year option periods. The tentative issue date for solicitation DADA10-01-R-0013 is 20 Jul 01.
