U.S. DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS (VA) SEEKS SOURCES FOR RADIOLOGY AND LABORATORY IN SUPPORT OF A PRIMARY CARE CLINIC Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) the Government intends to enter into a sole source agreement with St. Joseph's Hospital, Chippewa Falls, WI for Laboratory and Radiology Services in support of the VA Outpatient Clinic located on the St. Joseph's Hospital Campus, for the period of July 15, 2001 through July 14, 2002 with four options to renew for additional 12-month periods. The above authority is cited and justification is made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by services available from one source. The Government's obligation under this contract is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payment for contract purposes can be made. No legal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability, to be confirmed in writing by the Contracting Officer.
