Description

NAWCADLKE has been tasked to initiate a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Schaffner EMC, Inc., a subsidiary of Schaffner Limited in Ireland, for repair of repairables (ROR) for the Generator Control Unit (GCU) Test Set, P/N 888-0256A and the repairable components contained therein. The equipment is in support of the AV-8B Harrier. The proposed ROR BOA shall cover repair services, which cannot be accomplished by the Navy's Intermediate Maintenance Level, and the procurement of spare and repair parts, required to repair the above equipment. The Government intends to negotiate this BOA under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Schaffner EMC, Inc., is the sole designer and manufacturer of the repairables. Firms that recognize and produce the required items are encouraged to identify themselves. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which may be considered by the Government in determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. See Note (s): 22.
