Description

INTENT TO MAKE AWARD -- This is notification of intent to make award for a Thomas XL30 screening plant. This is for the purchase of a used piece of equipment -- 1% usuage. This is a vibrating screening plant for processing and classifying gravel in a very remote location within Alaska. There are only 108 operating hours on the equipment, or 1% of itself normal life. It will have a 30 day warranty on the equipment and a manufacturer's warranty on the engine until 5/23/02. It has 1-1.4 cubic yard feed rate; with dual screens -- side tension and end tension; screen area, 53 x 82 inches; a Kubota D905 engine with 3 cylinders, diesel #2 fuel type; 13 gal capacity; 2925 rpm engine speed; 30.34lb/ft torque @ 2000 rpm; 17.4 hp @3000 rpm; 12 volt electrical ignition; 730 battery-CCA; 30 amps alternator; 13.37 gpm pump capacity (theoretical); 3000 psi system relief pressure @ zero flow; 2 hydraulics cylinders; 5 micron filtration; 425 btu/m hydraulic oil cooler; 21 gal cyd reservoir capacity; dimensions -- length 228 in, height (operating) 101 inches, overal width 91 inches, shaker head width 54 inches, bucket width 96 inches, bucket height 46 inches. Unit is small enough to be mobile, yet large enough to do the work it is needed for. From searching the Internet and GSA web site, a suitable unit of size and weight has not been located. If you have an equal to this unit, please contact Teri Hudgins prior to the 23rd of July. At that time an award will be made to the current vendor. Price range: 0 -- $33,000.
