Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Pacific States Marine Fisheries Commission (PSMFC) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS). Purpose of proposed contract is to compile and update existing data trends for north coast California anadromous fish. The California Dept. of Fish & Game (CDFG) has collected data on the population abundance of salmonids in California for many years, but closed its fisheries library several years ago . The PSMFC, in cooperation with the CDFG and the Pacific Northwest SreamNet Program, has been working on expanding the scope and availability of California anadromous fish population data. Proposed contract will involve a multi-agency cooperative data program involving CDFG, Northwest StreamNet Program, and NMFS. PSMFC currently has staff working in cooperation with CDFG and administers and manages several major regional cooperative data programs similar to proposed contract.
