Description
Background "PROJECT NUMBER: 95-0110, RENOVATE WW II ERA LATRINES, BLDG 208, AREA C (FACILITY 30208). THIS REQUIREMENT IS A DIRECT 8(a) AWARD TO: DORSEY CONSTRUCTION. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS RESERVED FOR FIRMS IN REGION V WHO ARE SERVICED BY THE COLUMBUS DISTRICT OFFICE ONLY AND WHO MAY BE INTERESTED IN SUBCONTRACTING POSSIBLITIES. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, and equipment to perform all operations necessary to Renovate WW II Era Latrines, Building 208, Facility 30208, in accordance with the drawings and specifications for Project 95-0110. The scope of this project is the demolition of an existing facility and construction of a new men's/women's restroom including all associated architectural, electrical and mechanical work. Funds are not presently available for this project. No award will be made under this solicitation until funds are available. The Government reserves the right to cancel this solicitation either before or after the closing date. Mr. Stephen J. Plaisted has been appointed as Ombudsman to hear concerns from offerors, or potential offerors during the proposal development. The purpose of the Ombudsman is to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements and recommendations to the appropriate Government personnel. Existance of an Ombudsman does not diminish the authority of the program director or the Contracting Officer. Accordingly, the Ombudsman does not participate in the preparation of solicitations and evalu- ation of proposals or the source selection process.
