DESCRIPTION: Contractor will fabricate and deliver one Extended Length Submerged Bar Screen (ESBS) to McNary Dam, Umatilla County, Oregon. The ESBS is fabricated from structural steel and stainless steel parts. Fabricated flat panel, stainless steel, wedge wire bar screens are bolted to the ESBS. Wedge wire bar screens are approximately 2.25" wide by 10 feet long, 32 required for the ESBS. Stainless steel perforated plates to be bolted on to the ESBS will be Government furnished. The fabricated ESBS is 50' tall by 23' wide by 4' deep and weighs approximately 60 tons. The assembled ESBS is to be erected in the upright position at the shop and shop tested. After completion of shop testing the fully assembled ESBS is to be shipped to the site and installed in the dam. Partial disassembly of the ESBS will not be allowed to facilitate shipment to the dam site. In the past all ESBS's have been shipped to the site by barge. At the site the contractor shall provide crane service to unload the ESBS from the transport vehicle and install it in the gate slot in the powerhouse structure at the dam. Contractor shall then perform field testing of the ESBS to insure all mechanical and electrical systems work properly. This is not an invitation for bid, but a notice that a solicitation will be issued for this requirement. This procurement is open to both large and small business concerns. NAICS code is 332312. The small business size standard is 500 employees. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered by this agency.
