Description

The Naval Facilities Engineering Service Center (NFESC) is seeking sources of commercially available, high temperature elastomers in any form or shape. Sales and technical literature must be available to the public. NFESC is not seeking information on conventional pavement joint sealants in this Sources Sought. The only requirements are that (1) the elastomer must be as flexible as rubber, neoprene or cured silicone rubbers after repeated heating (to a minimum 500 F) and (2) must be heat stable at, or above, 500 F for at least one (1) minute. The materials may be pre-cast rubbers, mixable liquids, gels, or putty. There are no other specific requirements, such as elasticity, flexibility, adhesion, solvent resistance, or other properties. Submission of information on other thermally resistant polymers, except conventional silicones, is also encouraged. Respondents should provide the following information: Name/address of company, company point-of contact with phone/fax number (email address if available). Please send sales or technical literature only. Please do NOT send unsolicited samples, as we cannot accept them. It is requested that all proprietary information that is not to be disseminated in government documents be clearly identified.
