Description

The Maritime Administration (MARAD) proposes to procure by sealed bidding procedures layberthing services for three vessels on the U.S. LANT-CENT Coast (geographic area to be specified in the solicitation). The period of performance is one year with four one-year options. It is anticipated the invitation for bids (IFB) will permit an alternate bid for a longer period of performance. The period of performance for the alternate bid will be one year with nine one-year options. An IFB will be available on or about August 16, 2001 from www.fedbizopps.gov or by visiting the MARAD homepage at http://www.marad.dot.gov/acquisition/. Bid opening will be held on or about September 16, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid that will be considered by MARAD. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE's). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
