Description
The U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command intends to release the Invitation For Bid (IFB) on or about July 31, 2001 for a Test Set, Radar: TS-4530 ( )/UPM (RTS); National Stock Number (NSN) 6625-01-483-7194; referred to as the RTS in the Final Performance Specification, Test Set, Radar, TEMOD-01-01, dated 12 July 2001. The RTS is to be procured by use of the two-step sealed bidding procedure under subpart 12 and 14.5 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) with bid samples and required data submitted in step I in lieu of written technical proposals. Step I to be a Letter Request for 3 bid sample units with accessories and/or interfaces necessary for the equipment to meet full specification requirements; step II to be under sealed bid procedures. The estimated minimum quantity to be procured is 218 each, 13 of which may be subjected to product verification testing (PVT). The estimated maximum quantity to be procured is 2000 each. The Government will not be obligated to purchase more than the minimum quantity established in the resultant contract. The anticipated delivery for the initial production quantity of 50 units is approximately 510-600 days after contract award. Delivery requirements for indefinite production quantities, PVT units and all other contractual requirements will be established in detail in step II. Options are to be included but not limited to data, spare parts, etc. This acquisition will be a firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery-indefinite quantity type contract, awarded for a period of 5 years. This solicitation will be issued utilizing full and open competition procedure. Step I Letter Request will be made available upon request by potential bidders.
