- Description
- The US Dept of Veterans Affairs, Great Lakes Acquisition Center, is trying to identify potential sources for a single, consolidated contract for continuation of current telecommunications services throughout Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN) 12 of the VA. Services to include: POTS lines; Centrex, 56K; Fractional T-1; T-1; DS-3; ISDN BRI; ISDN PRI; SONET OC-3; SONET OC-12; Data CPE; Voice CPE; VoIP; VPN; Wireless Data Networks; MANS; WANS; and Alternate Routing which are to be distributed throughout the region to include: Appleton, WI; Aurora, IL; Baraboo, WI; Beaver Dam, WI; Chicago, IL; Chicago Heights, IL; Chippewa Falls, WI; Crown Point, IN; Edgerton, WI; Elgin, IL; Evanston, IL; Freeport, IL; Gurnee, IL; Hancock, MI; Hines IL; Iron Mountain, MI; Ironwood, MI; Joliet, IL; La Crosse, WI; LaSalle, IL; Loyal, WI; Madison, WI; Manteno, IL; Marquette, MI; McHenry, IL; Menominee, MI; Milwaukee, WI; North Chicago, IL; Oak Lawn, IL; Oak Park, IL; Rhinelander, WI; Rockford, IL; Sault Ste. Marie, MI; Sheboygan, WI; Tomah, WI; Union Grove, WI; Viroqua, WI; Wausau, WI; and Wisconsin Rapids, WI. The contract period will be for one year starting 30 calendar days after the date of contract award plus four, one-year options to renew. Fixed rates are required and the contract must also allow for the procurement and installation of additional services, at fixed rates, in support of the VA VISN 12. Centralized telecommunications will be managed out of Madison, WI. This notice is not a request for proposals. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining what kind of procurement to conduct. Companies that believe they can meet VA needs must furnish information about their capabilities and references for similar contracts to this office by no later than 4:30 PM on July 31, 2001. Information may be mailed or it may be faxed to: 414-902-5440. NAICS 513310 will apply to this procurement. The small business size standard is 1,500 employees. Companies should indicate, in their submittals, whether they qualify as Small Business Concerns or HUB Zone Small Business Concerns. Firms that could supply all of these services on a consolidated basis for all of VISN 12 under an existing contract, such as a Federal Supply Schedule contract, should also indicate that.
