Description

SOLICITATION NO. N68335-01-R-0355 WILL NOT BE MAILED TO CONTRACTORS. The solicitation will appear on the NAVAIR Homepage www.navair.navy.mil Note 1 -- 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS (NAICS Code 333999). The solicitation is for an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity of three (3) high-pressure water jet manual blast booths designed for the high pressure blasting of spherical and cubical underwater mines prior to repainting. Blasting equipment shall be accomplished by external means and is not a component of this acquisition. Typically, water pressurized to 40,000 psi shall be used for blasting. No chemicals will be used in the system. The equipment shall be in accordance with Navy purchase description 4825CSM01-04. Overall dimensions are not to exceed 8' wide x 7' deep x 12' high. A pump shall be included to pump out the wastewater to an external filtration system, and the booth shall come with a turntable, lighting, and ventilation. Installation, start-up, and training are included in this acquisition. This requirement shall be fulfilled by supplying "commercial items" as defined in Section 2.101 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation. The procurement also provides provisions for submission of installation information and other data. The Government will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose offer conforming to the solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government; technical, past experience, past performance and price considered.
