Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), Ionizing Radiation Division, has a requirement for the purchase and installation of a Comet MXR321 medical X-ray tube to be integrated into NIST's current Pantak X-ray equipment by a certified representative.***This requirement is a Commercial Item Acquisition under the Federal Acquistion Regulation (FAR) Part 12 utilizing simplified acquisition procedures identified in Part 13. This solicitation is a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27.*** The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 334517 with a small business size standard of 500 employees. This acquisition is unrestricted and all interested quoters may submit a quote.***The competitive Request for Quotation (RFQ), RFQ amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov/. The RFQ is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about July 26, 2001, and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site.***Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the RFQ in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order. With the exception of diagrams, no written solicitation document is available, telephone requests will not be honored, and no bidders list will be maintained. Potential offerors are requested to direct all questions via email to=20 Carol.Wood@NIST.GOV.***Diagrams will be made available separately via fax. Offerors shall submit written requests for the diagrams to the attention of Carol A. Wood by mail to the address above, fax or e-mail.***A SITE VISIT will take place on August 2, 2001 at 10:30 AM, Eastern Standard Time. Attendees will convene at NIST, Supply & Plant, Building 301, 100 Bureau Drive, Room B162, Gaithersburg, Maryland. The site visit will include a visit to the facility to view the x-ray equipment and where the tube will be installed. Technical questions shall be submitted in writing to Carol A.
