Description

The Army Telecommunications Directorate (ATD) has a requirement for nonpersonal services for local telephone exchange services for Anniston Army Depot, AL. The proposed contract is for a base year with four one-year options. The local exchange services provider, certified by the state of Alabama, shall provide local commercial communications service for Anniston Army Depot which shall include, as a minimum but not limited to, local access for commercial subscriber lines, local exchange digital (ISDN PRI) trunk, directory number and number portability. All responsible sources may submit an offer that shall be considered. Sources responding to this requirement must indicate in writing, whether they are a large, small, disadvantaged and /or women-owned business. For this acquisition, a concern will be considered small under NAICS code 51331/51333 and SIC code 4813 with size standard of 1500 employees. This requirement shall be a commercial fixed price type contract. Solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about 20 July 2001. The Government will conduct a preproposal conference and site visit on 1 August 2001 at Anniston Army Depot, AL, Building 362, 7 Frankford Avenue, Anniston Army Depot, AL (DOIM conference room). The conference will be from 1:00-2:00 pm (approximately) and will be followed by a site visit from 2:00 3:00 pm. Offerors planning to attend are required to notify the specialist listed below, in writing, of all attendees' names (not to exceed three per company) prior to 27 July 2001 (NOTE: Offerors shall provide the attendees' names, so access can be granted prior to the pre-proposal conference). An e-mail response to the specialist listed below is acceptable. Questions received prior to the conference must be received before 27 July 2001. Questions generated as a result of the preproposal conference must be received before 14 August 2001. Written responses to offeror-generated questions will be provided to all Offerors.
