- This requirement is for two trailer mounted brass ordinance shell deformers. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. N47408-01-T-0236 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular FAC 97-15. NAICS code is 333922. DESCRIPTION: Naval Construction Battalion Center has a need for : CLIN 0001- DIMENSIONS: P Height: less than or equal 11 P Width: less than or equal n7 P Length: less than or equal n21 P Weight< 10,000 SPECIFICATIONS P Shell deforming capacity greater than or equal n5000 lbs., Including 20mm shells P Discharge height greater than or equal 6 P 230 volt single phase P In-feed hopper greater than or equal n1.5 cubic yard P Crusher motor greater than or equal n7.5 HP P Diesel, electric start generator (Pre-wired) n greater than or equal 25KW Conveyer P Conveyor motor greater than or equal n3/4 HP P Rubber sidewall belt in-feed conveyor FEATURES: P Dual axle trailer with working deck P Electrical control panel. P Twist-lock plug for either generator "house power" use, Power Cord spare & receptacles for other usage P Electric key start battery P Fuel tank capacity greater than or equal n25-gallon for continuous operation P Equipment Weather Cover REPLACEMENT PARTS PACKAGE (High wear parts listed are dependent on Equipment make and model and normal wear and tear for typical 1 years usage) P Drive belt(s) P Fuses P Rotor blades/hammers P Deformer bearings P Slide P Various nuts and bolts Equipment Start-up and Operating Personnel Training The contractor shall perform equipment start-up at the consignee s facility within twenty (20) days after delivery of the equipment. The contractor shall provide all labor and resources required for the start-up. Consignee s facility shall supply a sufficient amount of diesel fuel and material to be processed by the equipment to properly complete startup operations. Operation of the equipment shall include modes and evolutions for which the equipment is intended to perform. The contractor shall verify that performance, controls, instrumentation and gauges indicate that the equipment is operating properly and within design parameters. Activity Personnel Training The contractor shall provide training for personnel at the receiving activity after start-up of the equipment and within thirty (25) days of delivery of the equipment. The contractor shall provide all labor and resources for the training. Consignee s facility shall supply a sufficient amount of diesel fuel and material to be processed by the equipment to properly complete training operations. The training shall include operation and preventative maintenance evolutions on the equipment and shall be consistent with instructions in the contractor s operation and maintenance manual. The contractor s instructor shall be expert in the operation and maintenance of the equipment and shall have a prepared training agenda. The contractor s operation and maintenance manual shall be used as a training aid. Maintenance Manuals V Quantity 2 Warranty The warranty shall include a minimum of 1 year for parts and labor from the date of delivery, with exception of ordinary service and maintenance parts. EVIDENCE OF QUALIFICATIONS: The following must be submitted with Quotes: 3 References for similar work (we may call your references, make sure the POC s telephone numbers are current and available); Descriptive literature and all specifications are required. Cost proposal based on the two CLINs above. Failure to provide this information and completed contract provisions can cause your Quotes to be unacceptable. The contract may be awarded single award or multiple award. FAR Provisions 52.212-1 and 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items applies.
