Description

Anticipated Issue Date: 7/20/2001. FORKLIFT. Quantity: 6 Each. The USMC intends to procure the following Brand Name or Equal. Hyster H50XM Mazda Gas Engine, ComforCab Isloated Operator Compartment, Instrumentation/Monitor Group, Powershift Transmission, Monotrol Pedal, Horn, Tilt Steering Wheel, Power Steering, Overhead Guard, Vinyl Seat, Operator Restraint System, DuraTread Floor Mat, Operating Manual, Brake and Back-up Lights, 3-Function Valve, High Air intake and UL Classification G. To be considered for award, offers of "equal" products of the brand name manufacturer must meet the (1) the salient characteristics specified in the solicitation (2) clearly identify the item by (i) Brand name (ii) make or model number (3) include descriptive literature and mark any descriptive literature to reference item numbers. The govenment will evaluate "equal" products on the basis o f information furnished by the offeror identified in the offer. The Government is not responsible for locating or obtaining any information not identified in the offer unless the offeror clearly indicates in its offer that it will provide the brand name referenced in the solicitation. A commercial brochure showing the detailed specifications of the product offered must accompany each proposal. This procurement is being conducted under the simplified acquisition procedures identified within FAR 12 for commercial items. As such, the award may be made within 30 days of the date of this announcement. Solicitation document will be posted on www.neco.navy.mil within 5 days of this announcement. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this Internet site for the release of amendments (if any). Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the sol icitation and amendments. Solicitations shall be mailed to the following address: Contract Support Branch, Blount Island Command, 5880 Channel View Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32226-3404. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered.
