- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC-SD) is seeking vendors to determine if sources exist for a small business set aside. The services to be provided are technical and engineering services to conduct investigations; conduct analyses; and develop prototype systems, subsystems and components for Marine Air-Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Command, Control, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) product improvements in the areas of command and control, communications to support amphibious operations, and computers ranging from workstations to handheld devices. The respondent should provide the following information related to the statement of work: (1) Information related to your firm's United States Marine Corp (USMC) experience. (2) Information regarding your firm's experience in and understanding of the following technical requirements in the statement of work (SOW): (a) Tactical Radios; (b) Combat Identification; (c) Visualization, Display & Human Factors; and (d) Combat Operations Center. This is a request for information (RFI) and no contract will be awarded pursuant to this announcement. There is no bid package or solicitation document associated with this announcement. This RFI is for planning purposes and to provide SSC-SD with sufficient information and data to understand whether there are sufficient small business sources that can provide the required services. This RFI does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that a procurement will be issued. However, SSC-SD and the Navy will utilize the information for technical and acquisition planning. Subsequent acquisitions may follow, in the ways, which best meet Navy needs. The government invites comments and interested parties to submit their indication of interest, along with the documentation addressing the technical areas stated above. All data received in response to this RFI marked or designated as corporate or proprietary information will be fully protected from release outside the government. It is not the intent of SSC-SD to reimburse providers for submitting information in response to this RFI. Please note that this RFI will also be posted on the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page under "Market Survey" where a copy of the SOW can be obtained.
