Description

DARPA intends to award a sole source purchase order to John Kent Smith for an effort to conduct technical analysis and reporting on efforts managed by DARPA's Special Projects Office (SPO) involving MEMS technology. He will assess the suitability and maturity of existing RF MEMS for implementation in systems being developed by the DARPA Special Projects Office. He will address the issues of reliability, manufacturability, packaging, and cost. He will make recommendations for MEMS test protocols and future MEMS investment areas. John K. Smith has in-depth knowledge and experience in the area of MEMS development, testing, and production. The projected period of performance is 6 months and projected cost is $88,250. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Contractors capable of offering their service must respond within 15 days of the date of this notice by submitting specific technical capability to provide this service. All responses received within 15 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the government solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
