Description
The 2001 STANDARD Missile (SM) Technology Planning Conference (TPC) will be held at MIT Lincoln Laboratory, Lexington MA on 14-15 August 2001. The target audience includes systems engineers, technologists and technology program managers from both government and industry who are stakeholders in missile technology development. The focus of the SM TPC will be to describe the technology requirements for the evolutionary development of the US Navy STANDARD Missile (Future STANDARD Missile Strategy). The TPC will feature presentations from project managers, systems engineers and technologists from within the current STANDARD Missile programs. Additionally, invited presentations on an array of technologies related to the future STANDARD Missile will be featured. A follow-on conference is being planned for December 2001 in the Washington, D.C. area in which technologists and technology program managers can present their plans and proposals in light of the Future STANDARD Missile Strategy. Attendees must submit a conference registration form by 27 July 2001. Upon acceptance, the SM Program Office will send an email confirmation with final conference details. SECRET clearances will be required and must be received by MIT/LL by 10 August 2001.
