Description

MCMILLAN ISLAND EXCAVATION AND DREDGING, MISSISSIPPI RIVER, POOL NO. 10, CLAYTON COUNTY, NEAR GUTTENBERG, IOWA. Work consists of, but is not limited to, furnishing all plant, equipment, labor, materials and equipment necessary to remove (excavate/dredge) and transport approximately 200,000 cubic yards of existing dredged material from the McMillan Island dredged material placement site located on the Mississippi River in Iowa upstream of Lock and Dam No. 10 at river mile 618.7. Work also involves channel maintenance dredging, placement site prep work, restoration and miscellaneous related work. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The North American Industrial Classifications Systems Code (NAICS) is 234990 with a small business size standard of $27.5 Million. In accordance with the size standard requirements, bidders are advised that to be considered a small business concern, a firm must perform at least 40% of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. The estimated magnitude of construction in terms of physical characteristics and estimated price range is between $1 Million and $5 Million.
