- Description
- This interior project involves the demolition of the existing office space, which consists of gypsum panel partitions, acoustical ceilings, carpeting, lighting, ductwork and HVAC constant volume boxes. This space is approximately 5,500 square feet on the south side of the third floor. The new U.S. Marshals Service space includes detention areas with access floor, and ancillary spaces. Install new wall, ceiling and floor finishes such as gypsum panel partitions with acoustical ceilings and carpet floor at office spaces, and glazed concrete block security walls with plaster ceilings and quarry tile floor at the detention areas. Provide new HVAC VAV boxes and ductwork, electrical devices and lighting, and plumbing fixtures and piping. Also, included is installation on conduit for security and computer wiring. This procurement is open to all business concerns. Women-owned, Small Disadvantanged, Veteran-owned, and HUBZone Businesses are encouraged to submit an offer. The Northern American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 233320 with a size standard of $27.5 million. The estimated range for this project is between $500,000.00 to $1,000,000.00. The completion time for the lump sum offer is 300 calendar days from receipt of "Notice to Proceed" (NTP) date. The liquidated damages are $95.00 for each day of delay. This is a negotiated procurement, proposals will be opened privately. The number of proposals received, the identity of offerors, the amount of any offer or relative standing of any offer will not be disclosed. Specifications will be available through the Electronic Posting System (eps) at www.eps.gov on or about August 9, 2001. The site provides instruction for downloading the solicitation file.
