Description

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) intends to award a sole source modification to the subject simplified acquisition with Dr. George M. Lady for increasing the total value by $39,000.00. The award is for support for the proprietary ADP software, Graf 2000, previously acquired by DOE, to meet the Department's requirements to support its National Energy Modeling System (NEMS) software. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.303. This is a notice of intent and not a request for a competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their capability to respond to the requirement and submit price proposals. However, all proposals received within 30 days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note(s) 1 *****
