Description

The Naval Inventory Control Point intends to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Cost Plus Fixed Fee contract on a sole source basis with American Management Systems. The proposed contract provides for continued management, technical and professional services, studies, and implementation of specific initiatives in support of the NAVSEA community. Detailed tasking will be provided by task orders placed under the basic contract. This requirement is a follow-on to Contract N00102-96-D-ZA02. The anticipated period of performance is one base year with one option year, beginning 01 October 2001. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, proposals received within forty-five (45) days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. See Note(s) 22 and 26.
