Description

Provide Architect-Engineer Services to complete the design of a project to add 600-720 square feet to Pharmacy to improve patient service on the first floor of Building 1, VA Medial Center, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Will require relocation of electrical transformer supplying power to the Outpatient Addition and two air conditioning compressor units. The exterior will be brick, to match existing building exterior. Design considerations will include, but not necessarily be limited to: space allocations and assignment, space layout, accessibility for the disabled, structure, walls and doors, interior finishes, flooring, suspended ceiling, exterior door with alarm, flat roof, lighting and electrical outlets, communications including telephones, computer systems, etc., heating/ventilation/air conditioning, plumbing and fixtures, fire alarms, fire sprinklers, intrusion alarms, work stations, continued medical center operation during construction and capability to expand upward two additional floors in the future should a need arise. Evaluation consideration will be as follows: (1) Specialized experience of the firm with similar contracts; (2) Past record of performance on similar contracts; (3) Geographic location and facilities of the working office; (4) Specific experience and qualifications of personnel proposed for assignment to the project. Area of consideration is restricted to small business firms within a 250-mile radius of Fayetteville, Arkansas. Firms desiring consideration should submit an SF 254 and SF 255 on or before August 20, 2001. Award subject to availability of funds. This is not a Request for Proposal.
