Description

This information is provided as clarification to the CBD Announcement released July 17, with a printed issue date of July 19, 2001. (Cite: W-198 SN50S0G9). The work which is described in the announcement is not a new requirement. BWXT and NFS are currently performing this work under five-year, fixed-price, task order type contracts which are scheduled to expire September 29, 2001 and December 31, 2001, respectively. The combined value of the two contracts over the five year period is approximately $14.3 million. DOE plans to award identical contracts to all responsible sources possessing all the necessary qualifications and capability to perform this work. However, award of a contract does not ensure that the Contractor will receive work. Tasks will be competed among those Contractors having the qualifications and capability to perform the work, and award of individual task orders will be based on competition.
