Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the University of New Hampshire (UNH) for the NW Fisheries Science Center (NWFSC). Purpose of proposed contract is to provide a review of existing resource assessment surveys for west coast groundfish and make recommendations for design of a future survey for all shelf and slope groundfish. Topics of review will include current surveys and their design; recommendations for survey design of future multi-vessel survey to cover shelf and slope; discussion of inter-survey calibration using general linear modeling; and effect of changes in historical triennial trawl survey. Proposed vendor possesses unique qualifications since employee is former Assistant Administrator for the NMFS.
