Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with the San Jose State University Foundation (SJSUF) for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), SW Fisheries Science Center (SWFSC). Purpose of proposed contract is to conduct captive feeding experiments on California sea lions and harbor seals over a three-month period. Work relates to contract that SJSUF completed during 2000. During a workshop on feeding studies held in Seattle 12/00, committee decided that additional feeding trials should be conducted over a three-month period.
