Description

The work of this project includes, not is not limited to, the removal and disposal of lead based materials from the stairwells in the Marine Barracks Building within the Boston National Historical Park. The work also includes the incidental procedures and equipmepnt required to protect workers and occupants of the building from exposure to lead dust. The lead containing materials are paint and caulking that are present on the interior walls, ceilings, floors, stairs, doors, frames and windows within the stairwells at both ends of the four story building. This acquisition is subject to P.L. 100-656, Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program, and is open to all concerns regardless of size. The estimated price range for this project is between $25,000 -- $100,000. Performance time is 60 calendar days from notice to proceed. Contractors are urged to make a site visit to ascertain work conditions. Solicitation packages will be available on or after August 10, 2001.
