- Description
- 17. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals/bids are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) #0022042, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular #97-27. This solicitation is under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and is a Small Business-Small Purchase Set-Aside. The Standard Industrial Classification Code is 334513 and the business size standard is 500 employees. This will be a Firm-Fixed price contract. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate on a sole source basis with Environmental Technologies Group, Inc., 1400 Taylor Avenue, Baltimore, MD. The requested equipment is a remote sensor systems needed for one(1) hazardous duty robots. The system shall include transmitters, receivers, and software to manage data, Software must integrate with a personnel tracking system, All signals must be transmitted to a single system receiver, System must handle 250 input signals, All signals must be displayed on one software program, transmitters must have a 2 km range, Sensor Package must be contained as a single unit. -- This purchase is being done on a sole source basis because through market research on the Internet no other source for such items could be found. The requirements consists of a remote sensor system capable of the following: sensors, weather station, software, personnel tracking system -- FOB -- FBI, ERF Building, Quantico, VA 22135 -- Cheverly, MD. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. However, interest parties may submit a proposal in which they identify their interest and capability. The following FAR clauses are incorporated by reference and applies to this acquisition: FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items (Apr 1998). Each offer shall include a completed copy of the FAR provisions at 52.212.3- Offeror Representation and Certifications (Jan 1997) with its offer. All proposals shall be submitted to the address listed on line number seven no later than 3:00 p.m. EST, 9/13/99. All proposals shall be clearly marked with RFQ #0022042. All offerers are hereby notified that if your proposals is not received by the date/time and at the location specified in this announcement, that it will be considered late/nonresponsive.
